THE HEAVENS KEEP THE SABBATH Time is the first creation that reveals the mind and order of the Creator because it is the one dimension which humanity can neither command nor reshape. The mountains can be carved, the rivers dammed, the air manipulated by machines, yet time proceeds independently from all human will. It does not pause for kings, slow for armies or bend for empires. It is the single element of existence that remains entirely under the dominion of the Creator. For this reason the Sabbath cannot be a tradition, a preference, a cultural inheritance or a product of religious evolution. The Sabbath is not written first in commandments or liturgy. The Sabbath is written into the heavens. When Scripture begins with the pattern evening then morning, one day, it is describing a structure as ancient and unchanging as the lights in the firmament.
